问题:
What are the coolest photos of international borders?

Hong Kong and Mainland China used to share a border on the same street. One side of the road was British and the other was Chinese. The border was marked with stone obelisks running down the centre. Here is a photo of a British military policeman and a Chinese police officer eyeing each other up:

The Street name is Zhong Ying Jie (中英街) (Chung Ying Street in English/Cantonese). The characters that make up the name represent China and the UK respectively. Here are a couple of images from later years:

My girlfriend recently visited Shenzhen and told me that the street is still the border between the two today, only it's much more open. Chinese mainlanders can buy a day pass there and then for 10rmb and can cross the invisible line to shop at the small stores on the HK side. There are still soldiers at the ends of the street to prevent people from walking around into Hong Kong proper.
Here is a small map of the area. Zhong Ying Jie is at the bottom running roughly north to south.
